Venue Highlights

Australia's Centre of Events is renowned for playing host to the world's top companies and international associations. From the small corporate conference for 200 people to a large international congress for 5000 or more, the Centre has the flexibility and expertise to successfully manage meetings of any size. The Centre's two auditoria, seating 3500 and 1000, are perfect for opening ceremonies or award presentations, and the Exhibition Halls can be transformed into spectacular special event venues for over 2000. The 33 flexible meeting rooms are suitable for breakout areas or small conferences. Events on every scale are individually catered for by a team of event management specialists, world-class chefs and audio visual experts who ensure a memorable experience every time.

Location

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is situated on the spectacular waterfront of Darling Harbour, a deepwater cove of Sydney Harbour. Bordering centre Sydney, Darling Harbour offers a myriad of entertainment, dining, transport and accommodation options, as well as providing event organisers with a variety of promotional opportunities and exciting alternatives for welcome ceremonies.

Catering Information

With a contemporary and innovative approach to food, the Centre's cuisine philosophy is based on using the freshest ingredients to craft menus that perfectly complement any event. Whether it's a large special event for 2000 or an intimate cocktail party for 60, the Centre's menus are designed to make any event an occasion to remember. They are complemented by an extensive beverage list which features some of Australia's best-known wines.

Technical Facilities

Whatever the technical requirements, the Centre's Technical Production and Design department has the resources and expertise to make the lighting, sound and vision for any event a resounding success. Also on-site for convenience and service, the Centre's own Video Production (CVP) unit can provide television production, broadcast and recording facilities. The Centre's IT team provides our clients with high-speed, high-quality data, wireless, internet, networking and video services throughout the venue.

Additional Information

The Centre has a car park under the exhibition halls with parking for 900 vehicles. There are over 4000 car parking spaces within the Darling Harbour precinct.
