Venue Highlights

The Henry Jones is the first and only dedicated Art Hotel in Australia, with its fusion of antique and modern minimalism, the hotel is truly unique. The sandstone warehouses (dating from 1825) once home to Sir Henry Jones' IXL jam factory have been creatively transformed into a world class waterfront hotel. Views from the suites allow you to experience the unique beauty of Hobart while immersing yourself in their luxury.

Location

Australia's first dedicated Art Hotel stands proudly on Hobart's glorious Hunter Street waterfront, on the very site where Governor Collins first settled Hobart 200 years ago.

Accommodation

All rooms feature exotic timbers, trapeze lighting, wide screen TV and DVD's and lavish king beds with exotic silk covers. Every room is equipped with European-style bathrooms, complimented by the original sandstone walls. Most suites have close harbour views, while others overlook the stunning glass Atrium and reveal glimpses of the old jam factory interior.

Catering Information

Through its food and visual design, Henry's Harbourside restaurant retains a connection to the maritime history of The Old Wharf.

Our menu's are designed by award winning head chef Andre Kropp and promise innovative cuisine along with international influences, to present an exotic, contemporary menu, with a focus on fine Tasmanian produce. Our eclectic wine list offers the finest Tasmanian, mainland Australia and overseas wine.

Recreational Facilities

Take an Art Tour through the hotel itself or work out in our gym.

Restaurants, cafes, shops and art galleries are all nearby, with the Salamanca precinct and the CBD only a short walk.

Business Facilities

All guest rooms have high speed internet access, with access to PCs and printers in the business centre.
